Default 2005 V6 Manual Transmission Hard to Shift

I have an 05 v6 5spd with the Hurst shifter and although I havent drivin another one with the same setup, mine seems difficult to get into first and reverse when sitting still. Also if I flog on it, it doesnt want to go into the next higher gear with out a double clutch action. Has anyone else noticed a similar problem? Maybe just an adjustment?

not much u can adjust on the Hurst. i think ball rotation? thats it?

are u saying trouble sitting still? cause if u barely roll in an 05 it can be hard.

mine grinds like a sonuvabitch ( yes correct spelling because the TV on screen words said so ) at high rpms going in to 3rd or 5th.

is it normal no. but not much u can adjust. check to make sure u got the linkage aligned up right i know the one below it is off set it may be back wards?

did it become difficult after the install or is this long after the install?
It could be a clutch problem. The V6's did get a hydro clutch like the GT's right?

First off I have this shifter in my 2006 V6 stang and it is the slickest shifter I have ever used.
Check that the chrome lever is attached to the passenger side of the shifter assembly. Apparently it is possible to reverse the shifter rod during the install, where the chrome lever would be on the driver side of the assembly!!!!
The shorter shift throw will allow you to 'beat' the synchros on upshift although I have not experienced any difficulty, if you shift too fast it is possible. The only time I double clutch is to shift down into 2nd on a corner.
