Question Magnaflow Sound

I'm brand new to this forum stuff, but i've been on this site countless times before and i've found alot of great help from it. I've Finally decided to become a member because I kinda need some help and i've read a few threads that i believe i can help with =] . A few months ago I bought and had Installed Dual Magnaflow Exhaust. I personally think theyre okay Now. I did literly almost a whole year research before getting them. Youtube and all that good stuff. Finally went with the magnaflow because i liked the way they sounded in some of the videos i found. Plus i got them for 550 including install. When you rev the engine yea they sound deep with a bit of a gurgle but once you start going and really step on it, it sounds like someone said in another thread "Civic On Steroid" Kind of not really. I have a K&N CAI and I have a basic Y set up. Does anyone know if its the set up that makes it sound like that or the model?

Thanks in advance for any responses!

I'm not too sure actually..but you kept the Y?

So you got the kit that branches off the Y and makes duals.

Personally(not saying yours is bad) I would have gone with the magnapacks. Its much deeper and less of an imported sound.
Also that way it would be true duals. You'd have to cut your Y near the Cats, but it'd be worth it.

I can't vouch for your sound though as I haven't heard it.
I'd say upload a sound clip and then people could tell ya.

haha yea i dont know why i waited so long to become a member as well. Well i guess i might have used the wrong word to describe it because it doesnt sound like a civic, i just feel it has like stangguy09 said a bit of an import sound. Yea its not a v8 so im not expecting that, but like i said ive heard other v6 that sound close to it and not with the "importy" sound. I pretty much stood there and watch the whole install it was cut from the cats branching off the Y to make the duals.

gt's sounds different with magnaflow then v6's with magnaflow.

i have never liked magnaflow personally, it just doesnt get that mustang sound that pypes or flowmasters can provide.

Thanks A lot for all the great advice everyone!

Yea that's what i was thinking about doing. Getting some shorty headers. One of my friends told me i might have to re-do the whole pipping again so i was thinking about going with the H-pipe. I mean if not I guess i can just wait and get the a diffeirent system. =]
