i decided i would install my MAC long tube headers myself. well i now understand everyone else's frustration. and it's even harder on the gt's. i started at 2:30 and it took me until 7:30 to get the factory manifolds off. the main problem was cutting out my midpipe (it's welded in). well i spent another 2 hours trying to get my new headers in and the rear port on the drivers side doesn't line up perfectly. i have no time limit on getting them in, but boy is this a headache. i'll post pics and updates as i go along. if i were to do it all over again i would still do it myself. mostly because i can't afford the $400 shop install i was quoted.

oh and just a side note. it just occurred to me.. my pecs, abs, and biceps are sore from this. that coming from a guy who is 6'1" 200lbs, played sports his whole life, 2 years of DT in HS football, and 2 years of rugby.

after another frustrating hour i put my gasket up flush with my header. turns out the alignment was off on the port closest to the firewall. i now have to send my headers back into MAC to have them replaced. no stang for two weeks

oh man =( I have heard nothing but headaches comin from the folks tryin to put on long tube headers. John, thou art brave for attempting this by urself!
