Default Lighter Rims or Not?

How much do lighter rims help compared to stock ones? Is it a noticeable difference or should I just not worry about the weight?

Im On A health Kick Myself...And The Weight Does Make A Difference. I Remember Seeing a Really Old road Car Magazine Where They Took One Of THe Old Woody Wagons (new At The Time Of The puplication) And Ran It At The Track...It Ran Something Rediculus Like An 17 Or Something....Well The Started Gutting It...Took Off Doors And Windows And Seats, the fenders. And The Hood...EVERYTHING Except One Drivers Seat and The Steering Wheel... They Adjusted The Tire Pressure ......And Ran Something Like A 12....Think Of It Like This...If Weight Didnt make A Difference You Would See Every Top Fuel Dragster With Leather heated interior and Wood grain Trim With heating And Cooling Cup Holders And It Would Be All Wheel Drive With Onboard navagation Cause When Your Running 7s, You need To know Where Your Going. The Thing With Weight Is You Have To Ask Yourself How Far Are You Willing To Go....Read The Thread " My Mustang Is To fat"

The wheels I have (in my sig) are lighter than stock, but the difference is not justified by the price in my opinion. Light wheels cost around 300-400 each...although 5zigen makes wheels that can fit the bolt pattern of the mustang and they are relatively inexpensive and cool looking

Is it noticeable? Yes. but not nearly as noticeable as gears or a tune.
