Default GT Fog lights on a V6

I dont know how many of you have done this but I put a GT grill on my V6 Mustang. I was wondering if anyone has wired the fog lights, if so - did you do it yourself or pay someone to do it?

Bill, I believe you need to buy the grill (with or without the lights) and then the a custom wiring harness or adapter of some sort. Here check this out: 2005 2006 2007 2008 2009 Mustang Grilles at V6MustangStuff.com

Also if you do NOT have the pony package which has foglights and therefore an existing switch, you may want to get something like this:

2005-2009 Mustang GT Headlight/Fog Light Switch at Blue Oval Industries for your Ford Mustang @ Blue Oval Industries

This is the stock headlight switch on my car (pony package) and GT's if im not mistaken.

I am one of those guys. I bolted the grille in the upper left and right and then riveted the center bottom. Been on for a month or two now and no problems. Looks great. A guy in the area was selling it for $45 with fog lights and threw in a extra light.
I now need the wiring and a switch.
Thanks for the web sites I will check them out and ebay too

I'm thinking of doing the same thing to my Torch Red 07 - forcing the GT into the V6 front end, found a video that showed it wasn't too hard. Did it take a lot of forcing, Bill? How long did you spend on it?

Pics please! Thanks

I have paid someone to do the job. I've bought the grille and wire kit on ebay and got the bumper and switch from my dealer. I just love the new look.

It was very easy once I figured out what I wanted to do. I had to force it some but not to much. I put it into place where I wanted it then drilled the hole on one side and bolted it then did the same for the other. Then drilled a hole in the middle bottom and riveted it there. You could try bolting it there if you can get in around the bumper (didn't look to see if there is room).

I will take some pics tomorrow and post them

looks good. Ive been thinking about this mod myself. Especially since my headlights are tinted, thinking the larger lights would be brighter than the pony v6 fogs.
