Default 4.0 Block upgrade.

I have about 3 years of tax money coming, and to the disbelief of many guys with v6s will not be supercharging.

I am going to first work on the engine itself.

Since I am stationed here in Germany, my options are limited.
No 8.8...no bumpers...nothing good.

I'm going to do just engine work at this point to toughen it up.

I'm lookin for some experienced advice here. as here are my plans.

4.3 Stroker kit from Tom Morana
and heads from Supersix Motorsports...what good/bad effects will this have and what can I expect from the engine now?

Also I am doing this to try and strengthen the motor for FI. I figure with these things, hopefully it won't blow.

As always thanks for the insight and advice!

stroker kit and forged internals would help you down the road if and when you want boost

if you do the heads i would do the cams as well. forged internals are a very good investment as well.

it was my understanding that the 4.0 internals are forged from the factory(stock). was i wrong?

nope, they are not. that is why it can barely handle a 75 shot.

the 4.0 itself is still a very sturdy motor from the factory. a ton of people have over 70,000mi on their stock motor after adding a blower(mostly x chargers). yea, that motor work is good to have, and its nice to know its got a little more beef, but you gotta add in parts, labor, tuning, time, and weigh out if thats really the best thing to do with your money. like i said your money so u do what you want, just dont want you to be unhappy with it if you fins somethin down the road u need money for. good luck
