Default Need help with the pony package grill

Hi guys,
I recently purchased the pony package grill kit from Ford for my 2005 V6. It did not come with any instructions. I was able to figure out how to mount the grill itself so ther is no problem there. My question has to do with the wiring. There are 3 single wires and a seperate pair of wires that I assume are for the switch. The wires are as follows:
Red....obviously battery power.
Black....I am sure that this goes to a solid ground point.
Yellow...Here is the tricky one! I am pretty sure that it is supposed to go to some kind of switched power. I do not know where it is supposed to go.
Pair of wires for the switch....Another tricky one because the wires have to be inserted into a connector but there is no indication as to where they go.

If anyone out there has the instructions for doing the wiring for this kit I would really appreciate an email of them if that is at all possible.
Thanks!

I tried putting a copy of the instructions attached to this reply but keep having errors. If you want to PM me with an e-mail address I will send them to you.

Anyone ever get it installed?
Was it hard?
Just wondering because I'm considering buying one for myself.

The grill and lights are the easyest part of the install. The hard part is cutting into the wiring loom. Just follow the instructions, you'll be fine. Should take less than 3 hours if your as slow as I am. step 32 and 33 can be confusing, remove the stock wires then add the new wires. http://www.cjponyparts.com/Pictures/...illInstall.pdf

Put mine in this week. Go back to the CJ Pony Parts Instructions a few posts back. They clarified Task 32 and 33 which is totaly lame in the Ford Comic Book Instructions. Bottom line is to replace the same colored wires . Also you have to have a special tool to remove the existing wires.

I need some help with this too...

I installed my kit today, using the "comic book instructions" as several have called them - bottom line is I am done, and the lights do not work.

I reviewed the "CJ Pony Parts" directions someone referenced, and am now further confused. Which wire is the yellow wire supposed to tap into?

When I first started, I looked further down the wire loom and found a plain white wire, NOT the yellow/white wire referred to in the directions. I assumed the directions meant "yellow wire TO white wire, so I made my connection - didn't work.

I then looked further up the wire loom, and found the yellow/white stripe wire, and connected to that - still doesn't work.

Does this matter? What do these wires go to?

Tomorrow, I will check the wires that go into the switch. I did not remove any existing wires, and thought I plugged the wires into the appropriate empty spaces in the connector. Perhaps that is where the error is.

In the meantime, can anyone address the "white wire vs. yellow/white stripe wire issue" I have come up with.

All features of the car work fine, including high beams and normal headlights - just no fogs!

Thanks!
-David

If you don't connect the yellow wire to anything the fog lights will stay on when you hit the high beams. (they are supposed to turn off when you turn on the high beams)

I just did this with the same confusion ,, Some of the Base model Mustangs did not have any wires in the Number 3 and 6 pin on the back of the headlight switch , Those that do Just Cut the existing wires and Connect the ones from the Fog light harrness , Orange to Orange/green , Purple to Purple/ Orange If you have the terminal tool just remove and replace , The Purple wire is to turn on the light in the switch and the orange is to turn on the relay that will turn on the Fog Lights , ,, The Yellow and white wire did not exsist in my Harness , it is hooked up to the High Beam cut out relay , You can turn on your bright lights and find what wire turns on your high beams at the Light Socket ,, I think it was white/green,, you dont hook up the wire your fogs will work on both Low/high beam ,, The Red power wires and grounds were explained in the directions
