Default Having issues getting to Red Line?

Reving my engine doen't get me to the red line, any tips? suggestions? info .. any one else (V6) having this issue?

what do you mean???? are you in nuetral...sitting still just reving it up? It wont red line like that. Ford has the fuel "cut off" which keeps it from reving...or something like that...someone else help me here??????

Yep, the car has 2 rev limiters... one while the car is in gear and one while the car in in neutral/park.... Netural limiter is set to like 4000 RPM... (or was it 3500?? LOL) You can raise the limiters with a handheld tuner... although on the 4.0L I don't think I would.. LOL

you can also remove it. If you get your car professionally tuned, they can remove it for you. Mine is gone, same witht he idle problem when you are rolling and it'll idle REAL high.

did you do that on your own with the tuner program? i want to get rid of the high revs and have them fall like they should normally do when u step off the throttle. thanks...

same here...I want to get rid off the high revs at cold start up.....I have talked to Fred at Evo but nothin back yet....any ideas?

Why wouldn't you raise the rev limiter on the V6????
I did it, is it bad?
