Short-Shift for 2006 - Ideas?

Hello people! I'm the brand-spankin'-new guy on your site. So, here's my situation: I'm looking to go with a short-shift on my 2006 V6 Pony. There are many choices out there in the world. I'm hoping you all can share some ideas between the brands and types, IE: Single-piece or adjustable, etc...

You might want to try the Saleen short throw adapter mod before spending the $ on a full shifter. There's a number of guys and gals (?) on here that run this mod.

I am thinking about purchasing the Hurst preformance shifter. I states a 40% less throw and it looks nice. Not sure on the price, but it is a good name and a quality shifter.

I've been told by a Fox Body racer that the Hurst shifter is a POS. Go 5.0 shifter?
