Default V-6 Performance...

I live in Denver,Co and I travel up Lookout Mountain E/I-70 right up into the Rockies.I'm very surprised at the performance the V-6 has.I pulled that 6% grade(about 5 miles up) with no bogging or stumbling.I felt it pulled that grade really nice.I know it not GT performance but I felt really good about pulling that mountain.I did run it up in forth gear but I had to in my GT as well.I think both drivetrains are excellent and having two excellent engines make these Mustangs a great value no matter which road you choose. I agree about the performance, my 05 Mustang V6 has proven to be a great car. Much more than I expected out of it.

In a week, I'm going up to mammoth lakes in central california. I live in southern california, so I'm a little jazzed to see how a 6 hour drive feels like. What did your mileage drop to going up the hill? how fast were you going?

My speed limit was 65mph or 70.My rpm range was around 3000 but I'm sure the gas mileage took a dive pulling them moutains.
