Question Clicking sound from under the hood?

I have a 2005 V6 auto. Did anyone else have heard this click sound comming from under the hood? It's happening when the car comes to a full stop, when I accelerate from a full stop and there is another click when I reach 25 miles per hour. The clicking sound is better heard when the windows are opened. I know that is not the A/C compressor clicking.

Any info would be appreciate. Thanks!

I also hear a clicking in my car, but I know it is the a/c because it only happens when you are at a complete stop and when the a/c is on. Try turning the a/c off and see if you still hear it when stopped.

I have the same clicking sound and I'm assuming that the problem was with the AC. The clicking sound disappeared for a week now so I guess everything is ok.

The a/c and the defrost is off when I hear the click.

I don't hear it when stopped only when coming to a full stop, when accelerating after a full stop and when I reach 25MPH. I don't know if it does another click at higher speed the sound of the engine is too loud to hear it. But I hear it better when the windows are opened.

Since your vehicles an auto it may be a pulley that is spinning that makes the car go forward when let off the brake. Truthfully im not to sure what it is called but that happens with my brothers 97' auto because if you look under the hood with the car on you'll notice a pulley that spins on and off every couple of seconds, and when it turns on it clicks. Hope this helps.

Default Finaly went to the dealer...

I went to the dealer today and they've found the origin of the click. It's from the transmission when the're is a change of speed.

Hope this may help somebody else.

Thank you!

Is there anything else that can be done for the clicking sound due to the AC cuz it can get pretty irritating?
