Default am I nuts? 06 coupe dash panel

Hey guys,
I don't know if this is the right forum for this ? but I have a 06 coupe with the pony pkg the the dash has the upgraded brush steel finish. I like the basic black dash panel theat matches the rest of the dash. Am I nuts for wanting to replace my dash panel? Does anyone know what it takes to remove the steel panel and replace it with a black one? Thanksin advance.

Well I had the regular black interior and wanted to get the interior upgrade package with that finish. I bought the whole pieces which include one that goes over the speedometer, one over the two air conditioning vents, and one over the last air conditioner vent by the passenger side door. These all can be replaced directly by Ford because they sell these parts, I know from first hand experience. The only problem is that the airbag must be completely replaced in order to change the look, its connected to the whole thing. At least thats exactly what many dealers have told me and when I checked they were right. I guess if you can sell ure current airbag and pay off the next one you could have the whole kit.

I tihnk its best to leave the whole thing as is, I like the aluminum finish. Or your other option is to get a Carbon Fiber overlay and just stick that over the aluminum so atleast your dash will be darker the way you want it

Hi Phil,
I looked at my vert and it looks like the factory aluminum panels are set back a little so an aftermarket cover up might be a good way to go. Here's the link to the website I bought mine from.

Hey... i may be willing to switch. I can provide you with the airbag and all the black panels and I would be glad to have the silver panels.

I too am willing to switch the airbag with the pieces. I already have the three pieces off and ready to go. All that needs to be taken off is the airbag. If wanted they can be traded.
