Hey guys, this may be a repost but I can't find anything.
I have a 2005, black with black leather V6 premium. I want to upgrade the seats to the red leather with the red accents. Is this doable and if so what do you all think would be the best process to go about this? Call my local dealership or what? Also, I know you can get the seats, front and back, but can you get the door panels that are red also to complete the package?
Also, is it possible to get the interior aluminum trim too, thanks for your help!!
I'm sure it can be done (as far as the seat upholstery goes) Just don't expect it to be cheap. Parts and labor are probably going to be cost prohibative and also it's been noted on the GT forum that the rear seat is not leather but "leatherette" or a vinyl facsimile.

Wouldn't all the back seats be the same then, or is it just the red leather ones?
I'm not sure, I think they're only using real leather on the front seats and the door panels. If you're seriously thinking about doing it, call a reputable parts dept. at a local dealer and ask the parts manager for help in anserwing your questions.
For the record, I have the red leather upgrade in mine and I love it. The first thing I did was get all the glass tinted and use a sunshade for the windshield when parked. I don't want that pretty red leather turning pink on me.

Did you add red leather after you purchased the car or when you purchased? Do you think the side door panel accents will be available, thanks for all your help!

I ordered it with the aluminum and red leather upgrade. The door panels are what really makes the interior pop. They look great. I'm a parts manager at a BMW dealer and I'll make one more suggestion for you. Actually go to the dealer's parts dept. (maybe on a saturday when they're not real busy) and see if they'll work a parts quote for you that has prices and parts numbers. Then you can call around and give other dealers the parts numbers for pricing. You'll be able to tell who's marking up their prices and who's charging you straight list. I would imagine you're looking at least a couple of grand parts and labor when it's all said and done.

The only plus side to this whole thing is my mother-n-law is the parts manager at our local ford dealer, been there for almost 30 years. I also found a set of red seats, front and back from a wrecked stang, so I think I will only need to by OEM wise is the door panels, we will see!

If you can get the front and rear seats from a wrecked Stang, can you also get the door panel inserts from the same stang? Just a thought, if your relaly want the red leather, you should go with quality leather and check out Katzkin...awesome leatehr kits for around $700. It is true, on the factory leather seats, only the front seats are leather, and even then it is only the fron seating surfaces, not sides, and back or head rests.
