Check fuel cap message

I started getting the "check fuel cap" message this morning. It's not the cap. I went to a local part store and replaced the cap. I'm still getting the warning. Has anyone else had this problem?

Have you tried resetting your information on the dash? IT could be that your cap is installed on worng or just faulty.

I had this problem a couple of times. I made sure the cap was tight, and the light stayed on for a while, but then went off and all was normal. Give it a couple days and see if it resets itself. Mine's been fine ever since.

Thanks, I did, but the message comes back after about 15 miles. I think Retro may be on to something with the vacuum. Faulty sensor? I might have to take it to the dealer and have them check it out. Thanks for the input guys.
