Default changing tail light bulb on 05?

one of the turn signal bulbs is out on the rear and i cant figure out how to get to it.....anybody able to help?

Remove the plastic cover on the affected side. The plastic screws take a #20 Torx bit. The bulb socket will be exposed and you can twist it off.

so where is this plastic cover located?inside the trunk?

Yes, open the trunk and look to the side that the bulb is out and there is a cover with a torx screw through it. Remove the screw and the carefully pull the cover back and the socket is right there.

Uh last time I checked you have to take the plastic panel off (inside the trunk) then unbolt the taillight housing. 3, 11m bolts then pull the taillight houseing out and then you have access to the bulbs.

Stupid set up but that's the way a lot of cars are doing it now..

it's a royal pain in the bum to change out those bulbs... a poorly thought out setup.

One of my bulbs burned out after about 6 months. The dealer replaced it for free for me. Since then I make it a point not to use the brakes to preserve the bulbs!
