Well, the Vortech is in... first impression: HOLY FAWKING SHEEETT!!
After wading through rush hour traffic, I finally got to FAST Specialties around 5:45 pm. I talked with Amber and Ron quite a bit. Travis, the installer and tuner, had already gone home. Amber said Travis was very pleased... he has a 380 hp supercharged V6 himself (can't remember what car he has though). Everyone in the shop agreed... she's fast!
While Amber was finishing up her paperwork, I took it for a spin around the neighborhood. Let's just say, the burnout produced a nice smokescreen behind me and she chirped 2nd with glee! She got up to 60 mighty quick!
The one thing I noticed was the sound of the blow off valve... sounds like crickets below 40-45 or so. Amber suggested a larger blow off valve if it gets annoying (the smaller the valve, the louder the sound). For now, I can live with it.
I really haven't been able to get open her up tonight. It's late... and I'm tired. But, I can already tell, she's pulls like a mutha!
So, here's what many of you have been waiting for... the numbers... from a Mustang Dyno with the 10psi pulley.
Max HP: 317.4
Max TQ: 298.6
In a week or two, I'll go in for a recheck and they'll put on the aluminum driveshaft and safety loop. They're also going to change out the fuel filter since I was running 87 octane for 10,000 miles or so. Then, we'll stick her back up on the dyno and see if there's a few more hp in her.
All in all, I am pleased as punch! This is officially the fastest car I've ever driven! Dig it!

WOW Hamid! Saw the vid clip sounds great.Question though do you hear that low rpm whistle inside when driving?
I know you asked ham... but.. what i hear is a slight whistle... a slight rattle... and what sounds like a bad belt... LOL! I remember the first time i started up the car and heard that noise... I looked at Scott and before I could say anything he said "That's a GOOD noise!" LOL!

whew... good to know these are good sounds... they're just so unfamiliar! It'll take some time to get used to it!
The whistle is very present when at idle or decelerating, especially below 45mph... when accelerating, the roar of the exhaust kicks in with a blissful high note added on top.

Time for some hi-po brakes now, eh? Your closing rate on that vehicle in front of you in the vid looked like an F-15 chasing down a Cessna prop...sweet...

It's still stopping pretty good... feels safe... but, some GT brakes for the front could be a wise idea!
