low price ways to make my mustang breathe easier? (buying xcal2 also)

does anybody know of a good intake or something that will help my mustang breathe easier? i'm buying an xcal 2 and i feel like i should buy an air intake so my engine doesnt over heat or something..anybody know of a good intake that is under 200? thanks

Did you already buy the Xcal? If not, suggest you look into a pkg deal with an intake and tuner. C&L and xcal on brenspeed.com for $599.

yeah but i have sort of a problem...i wanted good tunes on the xcal and the best seems to be on www.alternativeauto.com ... but when you get right down to it, are all the tunes basically the same? im confused

No, they're not all the same. Some tuners are more agressive with timing and fuel. Alternative has done good stuff with the V6 so I don't think you'll be sorry.

Just get a K&N Drop in filter... for the price you want just do that... You will see an increase in power...should run $40-$50

sounds good...okay, will do..thanks. oh and just for kicks, if all i want is the alternative autos' tune, and the tune comes with the sct xcal version 1, is it worth paying the extra 50 bucks for the second version? alright thanks

Don't buy an old xcal. I'd be surprised if you could even find one (except maybe on ebay). Get the xcal2. Far more functionality and a much better user interface (LCD screen instead of just a series of blinking lights)
