Like someone said "can't keep traction in spit" Waayy down south, nobody (cities/county/state)has equipment for clearing roads of ice/snow-some of the bigger cities have started getting the salt sprayer trucks, but out in the country they only have road graders-and I think that makes it worse...We generally build a fire, open a bottle of wine and stay home.If we gotta go somewhere,we fire up the old Bronco.

like I said,waayy down south

Default Mud Season

Mud season, please don’t remind me about that, as I had to take a short cut over a mountain, the back way home one evening, and the road, even though well maintained was very slick, and not only could I not make it up, upon banking down into what I thought was solid ground, needless to say I got stuck for some time. You can’t push a car all that well in open toe pumps! At least snow and ice goes away, mud seems to sink you down and you really feel helpless stuck in that.

Thanks for the post.

Default Lots of choices

First you have two mustangs...get a truck or awd car. There are plenty of awd cars that get good gas, traction, and performance. Second, all of the above was right on; limited slip, snow tires, sand bags in the rear above the tire; small shovel, gloves and gear for you, and even something like a floor mat that you can get under the tire. There are plenty of items you can buy specificaly for putting under your tire, but you can be creative.

Default my truck

I have a truck, and when it dumps here in colorado. All I do is drive around and pull people out. It's the greatest feeling to pull out other trucks are just anyone. If you want to check it out, go to my homepage (myspace.com/desq27). Or here, www.f150online.com/galleries/mygallery.cfm?gnum=9353 You wont need anything this big, but all getting around is, is about traction. 4x4, or awd significantly improves that.
