I'm willing to wait - That way i'll be able to save up a bit more beforehand. In case this thread slows down send me an e-mail @ Metallicat885@hotmail.com or pm me when you get the dyno results. Thanks so much for all your help.
I hear good things about the C&L Intake. I've read a little about the MMR Annihilator, is it any good? How does it compare to the C&L?
I still want to hear one of these when accelerating, and driving by.
Did you see the comments those morons put on there... "Do I hear a Honda comin?..." haha, I was in Fort Wayne today and I heard Hondas... they sound NOTHING like that...
"Why are you putting performance exhaust on a V6? That's terrible.."
Haha... okay. I tell them what... they can give me the extra $6k for the GT and then talk crap about the 6er's...

Guys, I just have to say that I love the flowmaster. beautiful with minimal popping when the engine is cold and none after a few mins of warmup. I give it a big thumbs up and it definately feels like it flows much better than stock. It isn't loud at cruising speeds either.

I post this response on as many exhaust questions as can. I use flowmaster 40 dual exhaust. Sounds deep and bassy cruising and when you floor it it sounds very agressive. Not quite a GT but still it sounds pretty damn great. Very loud and droning on long trips though, kinda gets a bit annoying. Hope this helps man.

I'm not sure if we understand each other on which noise i'm talking about. The one I mean is like a popping or crackling sound that sometimes occurs when the car is still cold and the engine is revved. As far as I can tell when the car is warm it disappears. You can hear it in that video when he revs it. Does that mean that the Flowmaster will always produce this sound when revved?
Also; The Flowmaster is a chambered muffler right? Is the AeroTurbine a chambered muffler? Would it make the same kind of sound?
Those crackling sounds are tiny little backfires. If he *really* got on it, while it was cold (I do not recommend this) and then let off to shift, there is a good chance you would hear a real [BOOM!].
Not good and it sort of takes away from the coolness of a burnout
My truck used to do that because I had a small gap in the pipe that allowed air into the pipe which, in turn gave the unburned fuel of the rich-running, cold engine something to burn with. If I revved it to about 4,000RPM and let off, in neutral, it would shoot two feet of blueish flame out the tailpipe.
I *think* the gap has to be up close to the cats to let air in where the exhaust is still hot enough to ignite, or something.
Here's a really cool Fowmaster dual setup on an sn95 V6. Different engine but if the smaller V6 sounds *that* good?
Has anyone experience with the Dynomax product? I have a 2007 V6 5-speed and want to add true dual exhaust. I wonder what the exhaust tips will look like?

I just figure that its silly to change exhaust 2 or 3 times when I can wait and make sure I get what I want the first time. I already have $250 set aside for exhaust and its not going anywhere, so i'll wait for your dynosheets before I make my decision.
Man, I sure hope the Flowmaster pulls through in the performance dept. though. I really like its sound compared to everything else i've heard.
Hey BlackPony,
Why don't you just a real good set of speakers for that Alpine, and just play MP3s of every muffler setup out there whenever you want.
Monday is Flowmasters, Tuesday is Borla, Wed Street Pros.
You could also go straight pipes when you race that Riced up Civic.
Just kidding.
I bought the Pypes setup and have 2 GT takeoffs as backup plan B.
Should get them this week.
Isn't this fun?
I searched for a year before making a decision.
A lot of NICE sounding cars out there! Rygen's & Wolfey2k's come to mind. I forget the dude that drives the red V6 with Street pros.

I already have 4 Alpine SPS-57C2 5x7/6x8" speakers; 2 in the doors, 2 in the rear deck. 50 watts RMS, 250 watt peak per speaker with a center mount swiveling silk dome tweeter. Aluminum coated cones, air injected rubber surround. What more could you ask for?
Seriously though, the stereo with those speakers is louder than any exhaust I could ever put on this car. It is unbelievably loud and I don't even have the speakers on separate amps - they're running off the 18 watts per channel from the head unit. Of course, i've never turned it up past 75% volume, not usually past 25% when i'm driving, and the few times its been turned that high (maybe once or twice) were to showcase the attributes of the speakers.
I might also add that at 75% volume there was no sound distortion whatsoever.

Don't forget that the V6 only has .6 liters less displacement than the V8's and if i'm not mistaken its the displacement that gives an engine its ear pleasing growls and rumbles.
And my car sounds pretty mean with a single GT takeoff muffler, which is pretty impressive considering its not aftermarket gear. With some good cams on there, i'm sure you could have a V6 sounding even better than a stock V8.
