2007 Mustang V6 Can't Reach The Bracket In The Rear For The Muffler, Suggestions?
Apparently, the stock v6 muffler has one extra hanging position connected to the pipe. But, I can't seem to reach the bolts with anything. Any suggestions?

I know, I couldn't have done it without you! I got the Flowmaster American Thunder v6 mustang series muffler on and all I can say is... "wow." Beautiful sound.

I've gotten pretty good at it since I've changed my mufflers 4 times.
Yep it does get easier after a few runs at it. To me the drivers side appears harder, or it could be that I am doing that side last after cut knuckles.
Oh well, part of the fun..................

I'm having trouble getting the flowmaster clamped tight enough to the mustang's exhaust to keep from clanging and leaking. Is there something wrong I'm doing with the clamp? I have the muffler clamped on the hangers on the car (2 hangers b/c the third one on the stock muffler will not come off. And the flowmaster clamp (not using the stock one) is over just the end of the muffler that is attached to the exhaust. Is the clamp supposed to be over the end of the muffler and overhang onto the exhaust going into the muffler or is it just supposed to be on the very end of the muffler? wow, I make no sense.

It suppose to be the same way as your stock one is. Only on the muffler part.

The directions on my JBAs said to loosen the mid-pipe bolts (tight fit for me), then loosen the muffler clamps and they slide right off.
You don't have to take off the hangers.
I remember getting the first one on, on the driver's side, was horrible. I wondered if my car would drive around with no mufflers forever, because I couldn't get the new muffler tube into the old mid-pipe, the fit was so close. Like I couldn't line the tubes up to get them to slide in.
I think I started with blasphemy and ended with prayer.
Passenger's side was better, by then I was calm again Drugs would have helped. No wonder guys always drink beer when they are working on their cars, in the afternoon.
Mind posting a clip on it? I hear the american thunder series of flowmaster sounds great. Wonder if i should have done that instead of the flowmaster 40?

Flowmaster clamps suck... Go get a good 2.5" stainless steel band clamp from Autozone.
I got her clamped down tight. It just took a lot of tightening. Sounds amazing now. Yeah, I'll get a clip of it on here soon. I have the cover on the car and it's waiting out the snow.
