I have to say that I am happy with the trac loc and 3.73 gears. I'm taking it easy on them for awhile until I break them in. But, I can definately feel a change from a stop. Another mod I am happy with. Rice Ford in Warsaw did a great job on the install and I picked it up the next day. So far, no problems, but I'll keep my ears tuned for any whining sounds from the rear.

About how much did you pay? Ballpark has been about $700-800 for others who have taken the plunge. You'll have to let me know what did more for your car hp/tq wise; intake/tuner or gears/posi. That is, when you get your intake/tuner set up.

As far as the t-lok goes, what all did you need for the install other than the diff itself? Did you just need a bearing kit and friction modifier? I talked to my dealer and they said they would intall it for about $350 (they said they quoted high because they had never done it on a V6 so it could be less, so that puts me around 600-700 with the diff and bearing kit. Thanks in advance!

You need to get through a couple of heat cycles to make sure those bearings are broken in right and to ensure the gear face hardens under heat and pressure. General rule of thumb is drive for 15 mins and cool completely. Drive for 30 mins and cool completely. Nothing over 65 for 500 miles and no burnouts.

That's affirmative. I have not gone over 65, but I did have to drive it for a bit longer to get home. Other than that, it will be city miles for a bit until the gears are broken in.

I'll have to pull out my receipt from car purchase. I think it was about 800, maybe slightly over. The parts they bought for it are in the receipt and I will post those asap. I have that stuff filed away.

I paid $810 for the parts and installation. They did use a t-loc diff. gears, modifier (any lubricant they needed). Also, my installation is covered under warranty (can't beat that!) It could have been cheaper but the dealership wouldn't use anything except for what they bought, so the price for the diff. was higher. I fought them on it, but gave up after they lowered the price a little bit.
I was leaving Riley autoparts in Anderson today (just before I ran into retroredfire, actually) and I got on it leaving the intersection and going into a turn. I definately felt the 1st gear and 2nd gear pull much better now. I love it!

Congrats. I'm putting in the trac-loc and 4:10 gears shortly. Parts are ordered. I'll post my reaction when I get it back. Would be great to be able to compare the 3:73 and the 4:10 to see the difference.
