I bought my Mustang without the Shaker system in it...I was wonderind if anybody knew off hand about how much it would cost to have one installed in my car and is a Ford dealership the only place I can really get my hands on one?

On a totally different topic I've had my car for a year now, its Torch Fire Red, and I'm starting to see swirl marks on my car? Where are they from so that I don't further damage the paint and are the swirl marks reversible? If so, how?

Finally, when I throw on my dual exhaust, I'm thinking of putting a GT500 rear bumper on... any ideas where I could get one? Dealership? if so any ideas on prices??? Thanks guys!

swirl marks on the car are probably from fine particulate in your towels or cleaning/polishing rags,,,they need to be fresh each time you use them...

The GT bumper can be found at mustang takeoff parts or takeoff parts.com...lots of places out there..mine was $150.00 delivered..may be pricey now...even the color matched perfectly. Got the GT mufflers to boot...cheap. and there is always ebay...
THe GT 500 bumper ..look in the Mustang Monthly mag or any mustang Mag

Don't waste your time on the Shaker it is crap. Better off getting an after maket player. I had a second Shaker 500 installed and it skips on CD's like my last one. Look for something really cool, you'll be happier in the long run.

I agree 100%! I thought my Shaker 1000 sounded pretty good... until I start replacing it with aftermarket stuff! LOL! Sound much better now than the 1000 ever hoped to!

Started out just replacing the headunit... and then slowly i've been replacing everything else... only thing left of the Shaker 1000 is the subs in the doors...

If you REALLY want a shaker500, check the classifieds. Last time I was browsing I saw 2 or 3 up for sale on there. Should be pretty easy to install too. Heck, i'll sell you my old one if you want it that badly.

what can i do about the swirl marks though? they really make the car look unattractive in direct light! ....... clay bar wouldn't take care of that would it??

But if i got aftermarket audio...i dont want the head unit to be ugly an not flow with the interior of my car... are there kits out there for that?

As far as getting the GT500 rear bumper...just go ahead and plop down the money for a GT/CS rear bumper. It's essentially the same bumper as the GT500 except that the GT/CS has a provision so that the painter knows where not to paint when he's doing the job. Also it costs almost twice as much as the GT/CS bumper to get a true GT500 rear bumper from what others have told me. Mine was $379 with free shipping direct from my Ford dealership. You can always get a GT/CS rear bumper and have the paint shop paint it GT500 style if that's what you want.
