I have had my magnaflow dual exhaust kit on my car for awhile now, and have problems with interference noise as far as the system just not laying right and contacting the underside of the car. I recently loosened the system and made some adjustments and shimmed the hangers so it doesnt hit and now the tips dont line up right. I love the sound of this system hands down but have had now end of problems with the fit of it. Does anybody seem to have any of these problems with this kit or is it just me? Id appreciate the input, thanks in advance.

I got so fed up I trashed them and installed a JBA system. I also had a weld break and Magnaflow refused to warranty it.

Does it have a new midpipe (H or X)? Could the pipe be upside down?
it came with the i guess a lower case h, it splits what becomes one pipe back into 2. everything is installed right im sure of it, the fitment is close its just not close enough to not contact anything and still line up in the bumper openings. I got the clearance i need now, im just going to have the tips cut off and have some pipe bent and new tips so it all lines up.

It sounds like you got the Magnaflow duals look (part #16605) kit with the y-pipe. This is what I have on my car as well. The first exhaust shop I took my kit too had a hard time putting the exhaust kit on and when they finally did, both of the exhaust tips sat well below the cutouts on my rear fascia and they couldn't get the driver side kit to sit any higher because of the positioning of the pipes in relevence to the frame...not to mention the driver side pipe was bumping (apparently) against the frame with every little unevenness in the road that I encountered.
I took my car to a different shop last week (one that would touch an exhaust job they didn't perform originally) and refitted the exhaust kit to the car. They had to do a little be of cutting and welding (although I believe the kit said no welding is required as it's a "direct bolt-on") in order for the kit to fit and work properly. So far so good and it looks great. The only downside is that the 2.5 exhaust tips look a slightly too small for the extra big cut outs on the GT/CS rear fascia so I might go back sometime in the future and have them cut off the 2.5" tips in favor of 3.0 - 4.0 round tips to completely fill out the cutouts. But so far, no noise or vibration any more (unless under hard acceleration).
I only feel like the kit is rubbing against the car (and feel and hear a definite vibrating noise against the car) when I'm in reverse...which is briefly. Might be due to a cold start up as well...but I haven't gone long enough to investigate.

thats exactly what happened to mine, word for word, glad im not the only one that had this problem. anyways i adjusted the whole system out and shimmed the hangers, tried it out, was quiet, took it to an exhaust shop had them cut the exhaust back to the mufflers, reshape some pipe and weld on the original tips. then add another hanger on each side, its good to go now, and looks great. o and by the way the tips that come on this kit are 4 inchers unless you got something else. just referencing.

I didn't realize the tips are 4 inchers. They just don't look that big on my car...then again it might be because the GT/CS exhaust cutouts are huge. I'll have to get outside and measure the tips the next time I take her for a drive. It just appears they are slightly smaller than the non-rolled GT exhaust tips. I think I read somewhere where the tip size is 2.5 but I'm probably wrong. Like I said they just don't seem to be that larger than stock GT tips...they seem to be smaller but I'll measure mine the next time I take the tarp off of her and let you know.
