and wt do u thing about the cheap intake i can get from e-bay
First thing you have to do is to make sure you have the right Predator for your Mustang. You say you have an '05 (V6)?
You need a Predator that has the last four digits 7140 (Should be U7140, but something like CL7140 or VR7140 can work...).
If you have something else, it is not for your vehicle.
Next thing you need to do is to make sure your friend re-installed his stock tune back into his car before giving you the Predator. If your tool is still married to his car, you have a paper weight.
Next thing is Read the Entire Manual, cover to cover. Then, read it again. Make sure you know what you are doing.
Then, if all of the above is true, make sure that you have the most current update revision. Should be 8r37. Instructions for checking the revision, and updating if necessary, are in the manual (you've already read it, right?)
Then, if that doesn't help, c'mon back for more...
If you get CAI, the Predator will adjust for that, pre-programmed with OEM programs if you have the most recent update installed. It can also be updated (may require custom tune, depending on your modifications) for other additions you make, include exhaust.
Of Course it will affect your car! That's what it's for!

Thos couldn't have said it better. Listen to everything he posted here it should answer every question. My guess is a free tuner from a friend doesn't make sense unless your friend has an 05 V6 and reinstalled the stock tune back to his own car. If he meets all the things I listed above then your in luck. If not its not going to work anyways therefor doing nothing to your cars computer.
Predator is the name for the tuner that is created for our mustangs. Diable Sports puts them out. You have a choice of 3 octanes of tunes that all make your car faster. The only mods I have are exhaust and and a 93 octane tune. It will ask you if you want to run the tune with the stock airbox all you do is click ok. You need a custom tune wen you get a CAI and I wouldn't install a cheap no name brand CAI in your 20k plus car. Go for K&N and get a custom tune for about 60 bucks. Thats when your ready to do so. In the mean time just rune the tune with the stock airbox. What a tune does is fix your shift points, gets rid of that awful throttle lag, gives you HP and torque, and much more. A must for the V6 mustangs are a tune and exhaust.

Yes, by CAI they mean the air intake. (Cold Air Intake)
There are many companies that have excellent intake systems. I went with the C&L for mine with tunes from Alternative Auto (www.alternativeauto.com), but they use the SCT XCal instead of the Predator. You can order just the intake from them and other companies, but then you'll need someone to make a tune for you. I would not recommend you try it yourself as it is really easy to mess up the car- I dared not make my own program and left it up to experienced professionals. But I do not know how many custom shops you have there in Saudi Arabia that know how to work on Mustangs (same problem I had in China), so you may need to ship your tuner to someone in the States and have them load some of their tunes and ship it back to you.
Alternative Auto had the kit for the V6, and judging by the results I had on my GT, they really know their stuff. Problem again is they use a different tuner than the Predator. I know you can find many companies that will use the Predator and I imagine a lot of the people on this board who have used it will provide some names and references.
