That has to be one of the dirtiest engine bays I've seen on a newer car I clean the eng bay everytime I clean the exterior (easier to keep it clean that way)
Here's Mine

Thats cool but uhh.. Where the heck do I start? Can someone give me an idea of a soap to use and what to cover when cleaning it out? I'd like to spray a soap over the entire thing and then rinse it before giving it a wipe, it'd speed the whole thing up immensely.

Start at the back of the engine bay so by the time you have worked your way to the front, if your back is getting tired, you are no longer having to lean over so much.
Also, Windex is non-ionic so does not conduct electricity. However! Once it gets dirty with engine-bay crud, it is no longer non-ionic.
If you are not sure, put some 409 on a towel and wipe the thing down that way, rather than spraying.
Spray slowly so you can really control where it goes. Let it take as long as it takes, to get the job done. It's like any other job. Once you have done it once or twice, you get a routine down and can do it much faster.
