Default GT take-off Leather

Hey guys, i've been toying with the idea of installing take-off leather to replace my cloth seats. So far i've only been able to find charcoal colored sets though. Does anyone know where I could get a black set? Does anyone have a picture of a v6 with interior upgrade pkg and charcoal leather seats?

I think my charcoal is black.

If I recall, graphite (?) was the gray.

I checked at latemodelrestoration and there's only upholstery for 89-93 mustangs.

Jet - are you sure yours was called charcoal? Is there any way you could snap a picture of your seats and PM or post it in this thread? Thanks

The seats are the same color as the leather wrapped steering wheel. Black

I believe the interior was called "dark charcoal, with Aberdeen embossed leather".

It will probably be cheaper to take your car to an auto upholstery place and have them put leather on it. It's easy and reasonable. About ten years ago, it was about $600 to do a four seater. In that case, you can do cooler things with the seats.

I would put dark green inserts in the central part of the black, leather seats. If your car is not black, maybe body color inserts?

Ah, see I have the leather steering wheel and shift knob, as well as the rest of the interior upgrade but minus the leather seats. Man, they do look sharp in there. Do they get wicked hot during the summer?

I wanted to go with factory leather because it seems you can get a set for about $300-350. There's a tutorial on 40collective.com on how to change the covers; i'll just need about 4 hours of my time to be yanking seats in and out of the car. My car is black on the outside but i've considered black with a satin silver colored middle (where it says MUSTANG on the cloth seats) to contrast the seats to match my black with silver dash interior.

Then again, you can't beat $350 for brand new seats, along with the experience of taking them all apart.

Well, Diversified Marketing Solutions has take-off leather for $300. I blue booked my car without leather and then with and the difference is about $470 so installing leather would actually increase the value more than it would cost for the leather.
