Will a UD pulley negatively affect my Shaker 500 stereo, A/C, etc or not?
Will a UD pulley negatively affect my stereo(Shaker 500), A/C, ect or not? I read mixed things in all sorts of forums about them. I want the HP but not at the cost of crapping out my stereo or A/C.

I was wondering this myself, UDP's being on my never-ending list of things I want for my car. I've got an Alpine unit in my car and plan on adding at least a 200 watt amp/sub to go with it, but no more than 400 watts. Any opinions on how it might affect everything?

The only issues will be at idle IF any at all. Then I would think only at prolonged idle times. If you do have any issues You could compensate by raising your idle rpms the same % that the udps reduced the alt and ac.
If the pulleys reduce the alt and air by 10%, think about it this way... if you drive 35 mph then add the udp then you you wil have to drive 38.5 mph to get the accessories to turn the same rpms. If you change your gear from 3.31 to something higher than a 3.63 the accessories will be turnig at least the same rpms as they were with the 3.31 and the orginal pullies for the same engine rpms.
So if your idle RPM's are 750 now and you put on a pully that reduces the alternator by 10% then you'd have to increase your idle RPM's to approx. 825 to maintain stock alternator performance? So how do you know exactly how much your pully decreases your alternator performance?

I got them from eBay for like $50 shipped. They look great but they're not necessarily the greatest quality product ever produced. The drivers side lens has some condensation in it already...
I've been meaning to get in there and fix that problem but you have to remove the entire front wheel to get at the signal lenses. Its not that noticeable and i've been a little lazy as of late.

They're no-branders and I bought them from an eBay seller named Sabersport for $45 + $12.50 for shipping.
Don't get me wrong; the quality of look is good and the construction is very solid. The problem with them is that the one isn't properly ventilated so when the air temperature and humidity change it creates condensation or "fog" inside the lens. In fact, I think I may have left a rubber gromit on that one and removed the other. I seem to recall not knowing whether to remove them or leave them in and knowing me I said something like "Well i'll leave one in and remove the other and see which one has problems, then i'll make that one like the other."
I used to have the same problem with the lenses on my Integra and they were stock.
