i was wondering which temp should i go with 160 or 180 and if someone knows a little about this item explain a little more about what this item is/dose thanks

It's an old rodders trick.

Won't work unless you reprogram the computer & fan operation anyway.

The t-stat will open up at the lower temp, cooling the engine faster, possibly making a little more HP. The only thing with the S197's though is you have to reprogram the ECU like KS stated.
