Well, with everything that has been happening, I retreated back to my happy place... working on the car. I had all the exhaust stuff around, I just have to cut the bumper. I took my cordless dremel, plastic cutting discs, and sanding attachment and went to town. I got the position perfect using the pypes template, but I made it a half inch or more higher. The exhaust place said that I will probably need to widen it a little bit on the inside. They will try to reposition the pipes a bit, but you can only go so far. I made it into the exhaust shop this morning and checked on it this afternoon. They finally started work and have the x-pipe and one midpipe on, now they just need the other pipe and muffler and we'll be good to go. Also, he did mention that the x-pipe seems to join up right underneath the "rubber boot" of the driveshaft and that I should look at it and make sure it won't melt it. I know what he is talking about, but I don't think it will be a problem. He said that he didn't like the design of that very two-piece driveshaft and asked if it was loud. I replied "Yep."
Korey
PS: I must admit, I am scared seeing all those sparks flying from underneath my car... but it will be worth it.

Haha, you'll all laugh at my stupidity. I picked up the car, it looks very good. The shop did a great job and getting stuff lined up. I do have to trim the bumper b/c the tips on the GT flowmasters are slightly bigger. I just have to push the muffler to the left and dremel it away a little. No big deal. Well, I get to looking at the other muffler and am like "wait... the right side tip is smaller..." Sure enough, I gave them the left muffler, but not the right one, so they reused the v6 flowmaster on the right side. Haha, good thing I told them not to weld them on. They did a great job otherwise, I just don't see how they missed the muffler size problem. They did cover any scarred parts of the muffler in high temp black paint to keep them from rusting. Quality installation. Other than that, it sounds GREAT. The car just feels smoother. I'll get pics asap. I have to wait until my camera arrives from OH (left it at the gf's ).

Okay, I will be getting pics tonight or tomorrow... but dang, it sounds good. I spent last night and this morning pulling the mufflers, getting the right right-side one, cutting and sanding the holes bigger, and THEN adjusting the mufflers. I have a good fit, but it isn't perfect. It's still a little too close on the right side. If I could lower it a little, it would look better. The GT Flowmaster ATs sound amazing with the pypes x-pipe and midpipes. Nice rumble. I'll get a sound and vid clip soon. BUT, the tips are bigger on the GT version of the muffler and the right one will only BARELY fit the stock v6 hole. So, if you keep your bumper and will be using these mufflers, cut boths holes bigger than stock and just match them up. I have a smell of something burning off in my exhaust. It's very slight and you only notice it if you you're close to behind the car or sitting with it idling for awhile. I think it's the stuff that they line the inside of the pipes with to prevent rusting in shipping. It's burning off. The smell is getting weaker and weaker.
The car just feels much more refined now.

I bought that panel painted flat black. It's the 3d Carbon rear blackout panel. I love it. I highly recommend the duals, but if you don't want to replace the bumper or trim the v6 one, a good single axleback will work, but this looks much better to me.
