My shaker 500 radio displays the word Phone and I can not get the radio or CD player to work. Any ideas on what I need to do?

Did you try going through the menu? maybe it's a menu option, just a guess, I just have the stock radio.

I have the shaker 1000. It might have something to do with a hands free set up if the car is equipped, just a guess, i'm not set up for hands free.

cant be positive but my aftermarket stereo (not the shaker) did that once and it was because the lead phone mute wire on the back was crossed to a power source, not to sure how that stuff works but i took it to a stereo shop near my house and they fixed it.......

Push the little phone button on your radio. It is a useless feature, mutes the radio so you can talk on the phone.
