Hi guys, my stang has its first annoying problem and its not me : P All jokes aside I have been reading up on possible rattle TSB's and I found this one.

RATTLE/NOISE FROM THE CENTER STACK (RADIO/HEATER) OF THE INSTRUMENT PANEL OR GEARSHIFT AREA

When I have my car in park the rattle stops for about 20 seconds, then it starts to rattle again. I am paranoid, because it seems like the rattle is all over the front of the car and the sides lol. I hear a rattle possibly with the door handles and the gearbox. Has anyone else experienced this. i think tomorrow I will bring it to any local dealer to get fixed because it is very annoying. It's just a straight vrvrvrvrvrvrvrvrvrv vvrvrvrvrvrvrvrv rattle / vibration .

I checked the glove compartment and the only thing inside is the Book I got when I bought the car. In the console, I took everything out and the rattle still occoured.

any help will be appreciated .

Edit. It has been happening a week , even before I had my exhaust put on, so I know it wont be the new muffler.

I just got my car on Friday, but the first thing I noticed was A LOT of plastic. Hey I didn't care, I was the proud owner of a Mustang. But the situation you're describing to me. Knowing that knowledge. Is simply, the screws on the plastics are rattling loose. I don't know what Liter you're V6 is, but mine is a 4.0 and that is a lot of muscle, and it does tend to vibrate the entire car. Screws come loose with too much vibration.

The dash and the somewhere near the muffler on my Mustang rattles once in a awhile. I think this is a common experience w/ most newer cars (gemlins!). It's the plastic and new cars have alot of it - everywhere. If the problem persists, take your car to the dealer and ask em' what gives. Ask for a quote on the work before giving the dealer the "go ahead".

I have the same problem. It sounds like there are lose screws near the door handles. I havent had a chance to take the doors apart and tighten everything up. When i do and if there is a problem i will make-sure I post what i find.

I will tell you a little story "true" about a guy who bought a new ford truck and every time he went around a corner he had a little rattle. He took it to dealerships and no one could find it. After about a year he took it to his local mechanic and he took a panel off in the back and found a nut hanging on a piece of string and a note attached that said "have a nice day"

i dont have a rattle but my passenger door handle is loose. do u think that could b just from vibrating alot too or just b/c some ass tried to get into my car?

That's a common problem and is covered under warranty.
