Default Looking for breakin instructions for new 3:73 gears install in 2006 V6 Mustang?

I got my gears installed today...in the 2006 v6 mustang manual...I got 3.73 and posi put in....I feel only a little difference....although I have not driven the car very hard yet....when I drive it hard what can I expect? Should I have gotten 4.10s instead? I do feel WAY better traction...and the mechanic who put them in did a burn out and the two wheel peel looks WAY better then one wheel peel...How long do I have to drive the car easy for? I mean I really really really want to gun it in first gear, second, third, and so forth...to max out the car.

You need to run it for 15 mins and do a complete cooldown. Then for a 1/2 hour and another complete cooldown. This will allow the bearings to break-in without getting overheated and it will also allow the gear face to harden under heat & pressure. Drive under 65 for 500 miles, no towing, and no hard launches!

The mechanic did one time take it 80, and one time did one burnout to see if the posi worked? Other then that I have driven it 60ish and I have not launched it hard from 1st AT all, in 2nd I did give it some gas...am I ok? And what is towing?

I meant no trailer towing (not that you would likely anyway).

Nitrous is fine if your car is properly tuned for it.

Default the cost

it cost me a total of 1000, I went with ford racing tlok and richmond gears....many people say go with richmond, some say not too...I got so far zero gear whine....I heard to go with richmond because they are the toughest....I would stay with ford racing or richmond...take your pick from those two and stay away from the rest...ether way your gonna get some accel.
