Alright I know this has been talked about alot in the "Junk On Wheels" thread but I still have questions and a bit to say.

The constant rain we've been getting in NE Florida has caused the gap next to the hinge of the hood to leak. I have had to pull up my carpet and dry it out 4 times this week. I also noticed that either ford or the previous owner tapped and glued pieces of plastic and foam over the smart junction box, i guess so the water doesnt damage it.

I took it to the dealer and they said i have to scedual an appointment when their water leak specialist is in on certain thursdays and fridays.(they asked that I give them my number and haven't heard from them yet)

ANYWAYS i was wondering if anyone has fixed the leak themselves or knows where the gap is exactly. I know the general area of it but i dont know what to seal.
Pictures would be awsome, or just a pm/response with some help.

Pretty sure there's a gap in the firewall under the plastic cowl.

i removed the cowl and looked around before i went to the dealer, but i dont know where the firewall is.

since your car is old enough to have been parked under a tree or two, the leak is most likely from the drain in the bottom of the cowl. mine was! remove the wipers, and take the plastic cover off, clean out the leaves. shopvac works well it will get the water and trash out. i cut a piece of screen door material and used silicone to keep it in place over the cutout. but be careful removing wiperarms, i cracked my windshield{duffus}
