Default 2006 Mustang Exhaust Rattle

So recently i have had a rattle and i am pretty sure it is in my exhaust. I cant seem to figure out what the deal is but i have an idea. In picture 1, i think maybe the exhaust tubing might be rubbing against the bar that goes across (Sway bar???). And in Picture 2, i think maybe the fact that the hanger is not bolted in 1 of the 2 parts. (Hanging by 1 bolt) Could this loose wing bang into the frame and cause an interior rattle? Are these serious matters that would cause a rattle in the interior of the car? or should i look somewhere else?

P.S. Exhaust is about 2 weeks old and i finally made a clip. Rattle is not able to be heard from exterior...or so i think.

i know, it is an interior rattle. Im just trying to figure out if those things i listed above would cause a rattle.

well the thing is, the exhaust covers up the rattle on the EXTERIOR. However, on the INTERIOR it is very loud. And i only hear it when i accelerate and sometimes when i am sitting at a red light while in drive. I just dont know!!!!!!

Hey Menace, I think i know what you're talking about, i just got my single muffler installed and i'm getting this rattling/squeaking in the cabin. I usually happens to me at cruising speed (squeaking) and when i'm pulling the clutch out from a stop (rattling). I'm going to take mine back to the shop next week for them to check it out.

The v6 is very prone to vibrations. If you didn't MAKE the exhaust shop keep your vibration dampener from the stock setup and put it on your new pipes, your engine will slowly shake those bolts off the clamps. Happened to me quite a few times. I also had "resonant" vibrations. When my car would hit 2,000 and 4,000 rpm, I would get some vibrations in the pipes. Tighten everything down and take it to a shop and have them put a dampener on. You may have to order them from a Ford dealer.

Where did you installed the dampener ?

Did you put one or two if you have dual exhaust ?

i just had my pony checked, turns out that there was a bar attached to the back of the muffler that was rubbing that was causing my squeaking. a pry bar and it was fixed. as for the vibration dampners. when i was under the car, i noticed that there's two rubber pieces that will prevent the vibrations... First on the rear of the muffler, my pipe was hanging on a rubber hanger. and on the front of the muffler there's an "L" shaped bar that had like a rubber stopper at the end. I would check those to. and if it's dual that you got you're going to have two rubbers on each side.
