Default 2005 Mustang brake pads Ceramic/Semimetallic/Organic

Just finished putting pads on the rear after finding out I needed a special tool to twist the rear pistons in. Got pads at Advance which were supposedly ceramic but the box says Semi metallic. I believe the OEM pads are organic.
Now need to replace the front pads also. Most parts stores here have Ceramic pads. Should I use Semimetallic since I have them or the rear or doesn't it matter. The OEM pads made it about 40K+ miles. Think they were organic.

Only trouble I have with Ceramics is that they may not stop as well as the Semimetallic pads. Own a C5 Corvette and use only Semimetallic pads on it both front and rear.

Your actual experiance would be helpful.BIGHANK

I've got 52k and change on my car and the stock pads are still going strong. I last had them checked at 49k and my mechanic (my Dad) said they still had 75% or better on them. Funny because 47/49k of those miles were when I drove a pretty decent grade to work every day.

When I need brakes, i'll go with whatever came on the car.
