Default 2007 Mustang V-6 / Automatic - Benefit of tunning the computer w/o other upgrades?

Hi,
I am wondering if there would be any noticeable performance benefits gained from purchasing a tunner such as a Xcalibrator 2 from bamachips w/ custom tunes for a stock 2007 V-6 Automatic setup. I plan on purchasing a CAI in the future, but since I plan on owning this car for several years - I am in no big hurry to do everything at one time (at least I say that now). Would tunning tighten up my throttle response? It seems to lag at take off. Not looking to make the car a "racer" and I'm not a GT "wannabe" I just want to improve my already high levels of personal enjoyment with this V-6.
Thanks for your input!

You bet... The tuner alone will improve throttle response and add a few ponies too. Add the CAI later for even more improvement.

Thanks Stlwagon - I think that I am going to make that my first upgrade then. Looks like I will need the tuner for future upgrades anyway. Does anyone know If I flash the computer on my Mustang if it will void the factory warranty? That is the only thing I am worried about. I read an article somewhere that said newer cars log the program change and even if it is flashed back to stock you can tell it was changed (not that I plan on trying to deceive anyone-just wondering??).
Thanks again!

All dealers are different but doubtful. If you flash back to stock they'll only be able to tell that the PCM has been accessed, not by who, or what was done. Loss of battery power essentially causes the same thing.

I was worried about the same thing with my GT, and basically tried it out for myself.. Took it in and they couldnt even tell .. just wanted to witness it first hand instead of just hearing all about it..

Go with the Ba ma torque or race tune, you'll be highly pleased.

I have both VMP and Ba ma tunes, the Bama torque tune is freaking awesome, and the torque pickup and pull makes it feel like a totally different car. I have yet to try the Ba ma race tune, but I hear that is an awesome tune as well!
