You are absolutely right. And I in no way meant to say that all immigrants are leaching off the system. Immigrants, illegals included, have contributed to this country. I am not against immigration, however I do believe that our current system is much to broken. If it continues at this rate, the U.S. will eventually turn into another Mexico, or Central America, and the whole reason for migrating here will have been for nothing. I mean, when you think about it, we are all illegal aliens except for the native americans whom we took land from in the first place, but it's not like we can all move back to whatever counrty our ancestors came from. Didn't mean to offend. Yes, there is a positive side and the media does often just portray the bad. However, the comment about "closedmindedness" was not called for. At no time did I say that all immmigrants are bad and are dragging the nation down. I just wanted to get the point across that a fix is needed, what is happening now and what has been happening is insufficient for the continued greatness of the U.S.
