i already made up my mind on what exhaust i want and i even went to the shop. so im there and its in BFE and most ppl dont speak english in BFE but my friend highly recommended this shop thats y im there. so im trying to talk to this guy and i tell him i want a custom h-pipe and im gonna bring the flowmaster american thunders and he starts talking about hi-flow cats or if im goin to use the ones on my car already and tailpipes and this other random junk. some please explain to me wth to tell this guy or something. maybe im misaing a part or something just let me kno. isnt it if i bring the a/t and they make the h-pipe thats all i need? should i get hi-flow cats? can i use the one thats already there? wat do i do...? im so confused and irritated b/c i was gonna get them installed today but then this guy comes around. im not trying to bash ppl that dont speak english or immigrants. i have total compassion 4 them, but if u c that im having a problem speaking w/ couldnt u call a co-worker?

You should either get high-flow cats or keep your stock. If you remove them, you will not be able to pass Emissions (unless you get lucky or pay the guy).

I don't believe the Tail pip comes with the exhaust. They are cheap parts and easy to install. You may notice an increase in horsepower, but will definately notice a sound difference without the cats or with high-flow cats.

Some places just don't have the best service I suppose..

But yeah, you will just have to make that decision on your own about the cats. Search around the forums, you may find what you need

the thing is i kno spanish!!! and i tried speaking to him in spanish but he would answer me in his broken english. w/e tho, next time ill talk to someone else. i kno they do amazing jobs tho, ive seen my friends car. like i said i support immigrants fully and totally. theyre the ones doing the jobs we dont wanna do and for a fraction of the price. the came to this great country to better themselves and everyone has to start somewhere. but this thread isnt about illegal immigration or the shop. its based on the questions: do i need to buy cats of any kind? tailpipes of any kind? can i use the cats on my car already? isnt it if i bring the a/t and they make the h-pipe thats all i need?

You have to consider all the fabrication that's gone into it. Mandrel bent, hangers, the right angles on the bends, the bolts in the right places, etc

Ok so from what i'm understanding, you are going to take in the parts so the muffler shop just has to do the H-pipe mid pipe and hangers...

They asked you if you wanted to keep your original Cats or if you wanted to replace them with High Flow Cats. This is where your question is. Should you get the High Flow Cats or stick with the Stock?

I just got my stuff installed so i'm not too savvy on this whole thing, but i think just using your existing would be fine, have the shop do the H-pipe hang the rest of the piping and weld on those American thunders, notch the bumber and drive off with your new exhaust.

If Tailpipe = Tips then you're gonna get new ones... but those aren't that expensive unless you get some dual wall jobs...
