Shaker Hood is it worth $800..?

i was surfing the net today and came across the shaker hood kit for the v6 and started thinking is it relly worth $800 dose it give any power? and diffrence in sound? i just wanted to know becus $800 is a lotta cash plus thats not counting installation.. so let me know guys L8er..

lol I really don't think a new hood would add horse power or change sound :P

It is just cosmetic, maybe help with the air, maybe lighter... lol

Well actually, I just looked it up, would you get the whole system or just the hood? Or is the whole system and the hood just 1 price?

you need to cut out a section of your existing hood to install it. There are grooves in the hood already that are there to guide you. The shakker system is a $800 appearance mod. While functional, it does not do anything drastic in terms of performance or sound.

IMO, it looks AMAZING!!! i just wish i had 800 bucks for it.

Correct... It's more show than go. But it does reduce the underhood temperature and pressure.

Cervini's is about to come out with their V6 version of the Stalker hood. That's what I'm waiting for...

Only you can answer that question. You need to be comfortable with every purchase you make; not us or your friends. You can research every purchase in your life and drive yourself crazy. Just ask a realtor about people that look at 50 or more homes and never find the "perfect place" Sometimes in life you need to go with your gut and pull the trigger and never look back; you'll drive yourself crazy. if $800 gives you an upset stomach then you answered your own question, don't spend the money.

Enough of the fatherly advice...I'm out
