Why do I have to keep spending money on her?? I could be using the money for mods.. I think I'm just gonna go by my mileage to know when to refuel. I better keep a small gas tank in the trunk.. I think I'm going to need it.

Warranty is up. I started her up this morning, and I was watching the fuel gauge go from E to F. I'm sure a lot of y'all do it too. It feels good to know your baby is full. Well once it got to full, it never stopped going. All of the sudden it looked like it was getting stuck and it stopped on the other side. @#$%!!!!!

by any chance do you have an IPod jack on your shaker stereo? There are a few posts on the board saying something along the lines that connecting the IPod to the Shaker f's up the gauges.

may be you're going to check your Fuel Level Sensor or the electrical Connector it could be a bad ground. To get to the Sensor you have to disconnect the negative Batt Terminal, remove the rear Seat Cushions, remove the Sensor access cover ( the cover on the right) and there it is. It's a Try.
Good news about my fuel gauge problem. The sending unit is still working fine. I was running the car on that one tank of gas for a long time thinking that it would run out of gas. I had some extra gas in the trunk. Well to make the long story short, the low fuel light came on! So it looks like I'm gonna have to replace the cluster. I will go with the MyColor cluster, but I have to wait until after Christmas. Anyone know how much Ford charges to install the new cluster? I heard you have to do it through them or it won't work.

Not positive on how much, but do a search on our forums for it.. i recently read a thread about some guy buying the mycolor cluster.. it was like 90-100 dollars for everything?? could be wrong.. but check for it.. im sure u can find it.
ok so ya i had the same thing happen to me but instead of full it was always on e them went back to ford had it for a day sed it was fixed it was for about a week went back 2 more times then it was telling me that the car was hot went back to for told them i really want it to be fix it was the cluster they put a new one in
I'm planning on stopping by the auto parts store to purchase a fuel gauge for temporary use until I feel like replacing the whole cluster... Only problem is I have no idea where to wire it to.. Can someone explain the procedures to me? I'd really appreciate it.

My name is Bill, and I'm very new here so please bear with me. I've finally got my mustang last year after waiting for the kids to finish college. It's a simple V6, and I store it for the winter here in upstate New York. I disconnet the negitive on the battery while in storage. Last week I fired the Stang up and the fuel gauge read that I was very low on fuel, and that can't be because I filled her up before I stored it.
Could the computer on board the car have to "warm up" first or is there a bigger problem. She has only 17,000 on her. Any answer will help me out. Thank you for your time....And I look forward to many years on this web site.
Penork
Last time I left a car in storage for a long time, it did in fact have less gas in the tank. It did in fact evaporate out of the tank. Did you try filling it up? How much gas went in? Why do you think the guage is broken.
