Default Tenny Tumult Cold Air Injection kit

Well yesterday I received my package in the mail. Opened it up, and there it was. I ordered this new system off ebay. It's called the Tenny Tumult Cold Air Injection kit. Supposed to work on v6, gt, and gt-500. I installed it today. Took about 2 hours or so to get everything how I wanted it. but daaaaaaaaaamn, I took her out on a back road over here, opened up that cold air at WOT, and she took off like a horse on crack! I'll get pictures on here as soon as my girlfriend gets back from her trip. She took my camera.

Well in the instructions, it said a tune isn't necessary, but for smoother operation, a tune is recommended. There is a high pressure hose that goes to a valve right by the throttle, and a low pressure hose that goes to the air box. It says that the low pressure hose is only for the MAF sensor to get the right temperature reading.

Now let me get this straight: you're injecting CO2 into the intake? I could see how that would cool the intake charge, but it seems that would displace some of the Oxygen in the intake air with CO2.

Here's the ebay ad:
eBay.ca: 2005 06 07 08 Ford Mustang Cold Air Intake Induction (item 160172489592 end time 02-Nov-07 22:35:17 EDT)

Note: I am not endorsing this product, I know nothing about it.

I think it uses a CO2 tank filled with air. It sounds mickey-mouse to me though. If you want a bottle, why not just use NO2?

I thought that too at first, except that the ad says:

"
The presence of higher amounts of carbon dioxide reduces emissions in most cases.

It says CO2... Last time I checked, CO2 doesn't burn and would actually starve an engine of oxygen. Am I reading the ad wrong??

Sounds interesting, usually for a good CAI you will need to upgrade that pony with a nice tune..I went with a C&L CAI with K&N Filter, SCT XCal2 and Bamachips..93 performance race tune all the way! Made a world of a difference, good luck!

You all have pretty good points about the chemical value of co2. All I know is that on Friday night, I took her out to the San Antonio Raceway. I was running 12.7 before and I ran 11.9 on Friday night. Now she rests.

Whew... I thought it was just me... I'm not even close to the 11s with my setup. Would love to see that timeslip.
