V6 muffler oxidizing

Is it normal for a muffler(ss mrt maxthunder) with 2500 milies on it to oxidize? i dont know anything about steel or oxidization execpt that its a chemical reaction

if it's t-304 steel, it shouldn't. If it's T-409 or aluminized steel, it will oxidize over time.
