Default Opinions wanted on the 2008 V6 Mustang

Hey Guys,
Im new here and I am about to order myself a 2008 mustang tomorrow. There is one thing that I cant make my mind up about though, I can decide if I should order the automatic or manual. I think that the manual would be really fun to drive but I live a busy city and dont want to regret it on the days that Im stuck in heavy traffic. This is gonna be the most expensive things that I have ever bought and I dont wanna regret it in the long run, so what do you guys think?

I think the best part of the experience is rowing through the gears. Traffic isn't too bad, but I can see how it would get old. I would drive both(2007) and see what you think.

i own a auto and if u get it tuned and change the actual gears u wont regret anything and u could actually breeze thru gears faster then some manual drivers.

Back when the '94s 1st came out ,I wanted to get one.At the time I was having some problems with my left knee and didn't know how I'd hold up,so I got an auto......still got it,the knee is better and wish the '94 was a 5 spd.Bought a '95 3 years ago with a 5 spd and keep the '94 put up for my "old age" car--modded and drive the sh-tew outta the '95! I don't deal with traffic much but when I do,shifting just makes it more fun

I have the auto and I like it very much, however I do miss the the limited options (NONE) for aftermarket shifters.Had a stick, back in the day and shifting and hot clutches in traffic convinced me the auto was better for me.
But as mentioned it is a personal preference that makes you finaly decide.

I keep saying that when I finally give in to the dark-side and trade my v6 in for a GT, that i'll go automatic.

Then again, people say a whole lot more things than they really actually do. I think that driving stick makes the car more fun to drive, and keeps less experienced drivers (at least in my case) out of the drivers seat of your car, based on the fact that more people learn to drive an automatic and never a stick. They'll say "OOO - A Mustang!" and you'll say "Yup, 5 speed." and they'll say "Oh... I cant drive stick."

Absolutely!!! Don't listen to us. Just take a day or two and think about it. Weigh the pros & cons.

I've been a life-long sporting driver, and I'm having as much fun with my automatic Mustang as I had with any of the couple dozen stick-shifters I've owned, driven, and raced.

'S truth.

PS: Las Vegas traffic is worse than Los Angeles, my view. Much worse.

Well guys, I ordered my mustang today. Im so excited for it, I ended up getting the automatic because traffic is crazy in vegas and people cant drive out here. I also got the interior upgrade package, sport appearance package, and leather. Im so excited to get it and I cant wait to get the build date so I know when I can expect the car
