Need advice on removing the dealer decal from my Mustang
There is a dealer decal on my Mustang that I want to remove. Does anyone know the best way to do this in order to avoid scratches/discoloration?

try a blow dryer,if its a vinyl decal, and heat it slowly. Then just peel it off.
If it is a true water transfer decal, hmm soapy water and a good thumbnail???
Unfortunately the dealer is farther than I am willing to drive. I'll give the dryer a try and see what happens. I appreciate ya!

I was in the same boat as you. Some of the stangs look great with the mustang decal, but I don't like the black with the white decal. I was scared to try and remove it myself. But, I researched here on the forum (which is the best thing I have discovered on the net in a while), and one guy said to leave it in the sun for a few hours, and they would peel right off. Needless to say, he was right. I started it with my thumbnail, and they literally peeled right off, almost in one piece. A few coats of wax, and you can't even tell that they were there. The best advice I have read on here, is don't be scared. But, they come off very easily.
Yeah, i can't stand those badges the dealer puts on for advertising. Some come off real easy without any residue, but others are a real pain. The last time I bought a car (about 2 months ago) I made the dealer remove it before I drove it off the lot. The day they start paying me to advertise for them is the day I will leave it on. Otherwise, I'm not sponsored by the dealer so it's gotta come off, period.

Every decal I've ever had on cars have been the vinyl kind (Had 3 rows of big white letters on my black Mustang on the rearend). Hook a fingernail on the edge and they come right off. If a dealer was ever obnoxious enough to put something harder on I'd take it back and make him take it off. I'm not in NASCAR and I don't sell advertising spots on my car (Well...I wouldn't sell the spots cheap anyway).
