Default Headlamps on a 2006 mustang

I am trying to remove the old headlight bulb to change out with a new set. However it seems that it is really stuck and I don't want to break the wiring harness from the bulb. Is there a trick to removing? It looks like I will need to break it to change it out.

There's a tab on each side of the bulb like wings...these are the handles you can get ahold of with your fingers. When facing the vehicle, turn the bulb assy clockwise (up and over toward the driver's side) an 1/8th turn and the bulb assy comes right out. The wiring harness is long enough to make swapping them real easy. Slide a straight blade screwdriver tip under the tab on the bulb holder (little rectangular box molded on the side) and the bulb itself slides right out.

One thing I noticed when I put the new Silverstar bulbs in mine last week is when I put the assy back in the housing and tried to turn it the 1/8th turn to lock it back in it wouldn't go. Had to file ever so slightly on the 3 bulb tabs to get a good fit (these are on the bulb base, not the assy. I wouldn't modify my car just for bulbs). First time I've ever had to do that. The weatherproofing rings in the housing make for a real snug fit, not sloppy like my old Explorer was.
