i put ceramic pads on and now it squeals when i hit the brakes . do the wire clips need to be changed also?

Welcome... No. You might just have a shiny spot on the rotors or pads. A little swipe of the rotor with some fine emory paper will likely resolve your problem.

Can't vouch for an 05 but on an 06 the springs are part of the pads themselves. They are press fitted around one of the rivets. The springs act 2 fold, one as an anti-rattle, second as an anti-drag assist. When I changed mine to ceramics about 3 months ago I had a defective outer pad on the right side, the defect was the springs wouldnt stay on the rivets. I couldnt believe the difference in the noise and also the temperature difference on the rotor. There was almost a 120deg difference in the rotor between L/S and R/S, I could only attribute it to pad drag. Once I replaced the pad they went back to within a couple degrees of eachother.
