Default Tunable Induction Intake Xcal2 91 torq tune on V6 2005 mustang question

hey Just a quick question. When i'm driving my car, especially getting off the freeway. My RPM's are shooting to 3k in neutral. That seemed really high, so i shut off the radio to listen to the engine. Then the O2 sensor (I think) Clicks really loud then my RPMs go back down to normal of below 1k (about 500)... Is this normal for an after market intake? is the sensor supposed to click that loud? did i install wrong? why is it holding the RPMs so high when i drop it in neutral?

Sounds like a dashpot adjustment is off in the tune.

Call or email Doug and explain it to him. He can tweak the tune and email you a new one.

Just a thought. Could the MAF sensor be installed upside down (it will fit backward). There's an arrow embossed in the black plastic plate that screws into the housing. The arrow should be pointing in the direction of airflow (tail toward the filter, head toward the throttle body). I don't know what the symptoms would be if it were to be installed backward.

Have you done anything to fix it? Call John or get a custom canned tune from Doug or Brenspeed.

There are a couple that will actually allow it to be installed upside down. The little square opening needs to point upstream toward the filter.

I haven't had the time to get under the hood... i'll look this weekend... it just seems annoying only... I just got the car dyno'ed and i was putting down good numbers (200HP/240Tq) There's a small hicup in the timing in 4.5k range so i found a guy in the area that will do a custom tune, so i'll have him check out the rest of it too. I already told him about it so we'll see. Thanks for the help, i just wanted to make sure my engine wasn't going to blow up...
