I need advice on what Exhaust to purchase my 2006 Mustang V6 Stock
Here is my information:
2006 Ford Mustang V6 Stock
Lease
What I want is an exhaust that is loud, I'm looking for a race type exhaust.I wonder if you experts could help me, I found these two exhausts: 2005-2007 MUSTANG V6 JBA AXLE-BACK EXHAUST SYSTEM and Flowmaster American Thunder Axle-Back Exhaust Mustang 2005+ V6
Flowmaster seems to be the best reviewed exhaust but could anyone back the JBA exhaust.
Cant speak on behalf of the JBA exhaust but I can for the American Thunders. Big difference...A lot more of a deeper sound. I went with the daul exhaust but being that it is a lease for you, you cant permanently change anything. I can vouch ffor the American Thunders...if youre looking for a deeper and tougher sound.
And the gain of a few horsepower doesnt hurt either.

I'll second the Flowmasters. They have a great sound and are well made. Fit and finish are excellent!
GT Take-off mufflers are also a popular choice because they're cheap ($70-80) and give a better sound (louder and a bit deeper than the stock v6 muffler) and they also give you that little performance boost. (10rwhp or so)
The Flowmaster A/T is louder and better sounding than the GT take-off though.
Flowmasters on a Mustang; you almost cant go wrong!

I have a v-6 2005 and have a JBA axle-back exhaust now....I like the sound better than stock but want more sound and was wondering if I can get a single cat-back system that will improve sound & performance??? I want to keep it simple & not have to cut my rear bumper for duels....does anyone make a single cat-back system upgrade for the 2005 v-6?

I second everything in this post, the GT-Takeoffs give a much better sound and you cant go wrong with the price.(v6mustangstuff.com, has alot of cheap take-off items) However, flowmasters always sound good on a mustang. I recommend just listening to clips on youtube, and exhaust never sounds really good until broken in, so videos with a finished product is what you should shoot for.

For loud AND performance I would look at the MRT Aero-Turbine... I tried a few different mufflers... but when it comes to the best SINGLE muffler for sound and performance the Aero-Turbine was tops...

I will back up the flowmasters. They have been making mustang's exhausts around the world growl for many many years. You can't go wrong with old reliable.

+1, I am a fan of flowmasters but this is the muffler I have on order. Youtube this exhaust on 2005+ sixxer's and prepare to be amazed, very very tough sounding exhaust, only way to explain it.

I have the American Thunders too... awesome for sound... if you want preformance looke for the straight flow like the Magnaflows or the SLP's. They dont have a chamber it's essentially straight pipe with a little insulation on it.
