Default 2007 v/6 gear ratios

Would the Stock gears for a manual tranny also be 3.31 and which would be better to upgrade to a 3.55 or 3.73?? Can you tell me the advantages of each??? Thanks

Please do a search for this info, we have more threads on gears then stl has horsepower. Manuals do have 3.31 stock. You won't notice much of a difference with 3.55, most here go with 3.73 or 4.10s. The 3.73s will be a nice mix of pick up and higher speeds; the 4.10s will blow your mind on acceleration but will be rough if you do alot of interstate driving.

3.73s are great.
Stock V6 manual or auto 3.31
Stock GT manual 3.55
Stock GT auto 3.31

The 3.31 is standard on all models, the 3.55 was an optional option in the gts in 2007.

Default RPM's?

If I went to a 4.10, what would need to be done to get the RPM's down, becasue my understandi is that it will run very high.
