Default S197 Mustang... How do you tighten the rear view mirror?

Mine is loose and shakes a bit -- enough to be annoying. The plate that attached to the windshied seems to have a cover, but I can't figure out how to pop it off -- I assume the screw is underneath it.

I found this one day and decided to keep it. Haven't gotten around to doing it, nor do I know if this is the problem you speak of, but it may help:

Door Mirror Rattle FIXED - Please put this in FAQ's or something - pics included

Good luck!

If it's the mirror on the windshield, there should be a set screw to attach it to the button.
